Privacy Policy
This policy explains how CheckLate handles information collected through its website and final paycheck intake.
Information we collect
The initial intake asks for your last day of work, whether you quit or were fired or laid off, whether and when you received your final paycheck, your former employer’s name, and your name, phone number and email. The intake team or reviewing law practice may request more information about your claim during follow up.
We also receive information you provide when you contact us. The initial form does not ask you to upload documents or provide Social Security numbers, bank account details or payment card information.
Website providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser information, request timestamps and security logs when you visit the site.
How we use it
We use intake information to assess your request, check whether further review is appropriate, communicate with you, and coordinate legal review and services under an engagement agreement with Adam J. Law. We also use necessary technical information to operate the website, prevent abuse and troubleshoot problems.
Providing a phone number or email address lets us respond about your request. It does not sign you up for an advertising mailing list.
Who receives it
Submitted intakes are stored in a private Google Sheet. Access is limited to the CheckLate team handling intake and Adam J. Law, the firm reviewing requests and providing legal services for accepted cases. A notification email alerts the intake team to a new submission and links to the private record.
We use Google services for intake processing, storage and email notifications, GoHighLevel for contact and case-intake tracking, Cloudflare for the hosted website, and Google Fonts for web fonts. Submitted contact information and intake details are also synced to our private GoHighLevel account for review and follow up. These providers process information as part of delivering their services.
The intake form does not send your answers to your employer. If you engage an attorney, information necessary to pursue the claim may be included in communications to the employer, court documents or other submissions within the agreed scope.
We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the security of the website. This policy does not override an attorney’s confidentiality duties.
Advertising, cookies and tracking
We use optional Meta advertising measurement only when you allow it through our cookie controls. It is off by default. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track override permission. Your privacy choice is remembered in this browser for up to 180 days.
With your permission, a separate measurement page at metrics.checklate.money loads Meta Pixel. It reports a general website visit (PageView) and a confirmed inquiry submission (Lead). The measurement page has a fixed address and title. It does not receive your intake answers, employer name, contact details, submission ID, the intake page’s query string or its referrer.
Meta may receive technical information, including your IP address, browser and device information, event timestamps, and advertising cookie identifiers such as _fbp and _fbc when present. Meta may use this information to measure advertising and associate activity with its users under Meta’s Privacy Policy. We do not send intake field values or contact information to Meta, enable automatic event configuration, or provide matching user data. CheckLate does not sell intake information or provide it to advertisers for targeted advertising.
You can use “Cookie preferences” or “Do not sell or share my personal information” on the website, including during intake, to change your choice. Withdrawal removes the measurement frame, attempts to clear advertising cookies accessible to the website, and stops future optional tracking without reloading your intake. Cookies outside the website’s accessible scope may remain until they expire. Withdrawal cannot recall information already sent or requests underway. An inquiry submitted without permission is not reported later if you allow tracking.
Third party services may process technical information when their resources are requested, under their own policies.
Retention and security
Intake information is kept for review, follow up and any related service records. There is not currently a fixed automatic deletion period. Legal recordkeeping and confidentiality obligations may affect how long information must be retained.
Intake records are held in a private spreadsheet with restricted access. No website or storage system can guarantee complete security.
Your requests
To ask about information you submitted, request a correction or request deletion, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before providing or changing a record. We will explain any legal or recordkeeping reason that prevents deletion.
These contact options do not limit any privacy rights you have under applicable law.
Children
The website is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and address it.
Policy changes
We will post changes here and update the date above. If a change materially affects how previously collected information is used or shared, we will provide an appropriate notice.
